Students in The City Academy, Hackney routinely make more progress than almost any other school Progress 8 is consistently above 1.00 which indicates that students achieve a grade better for each of their best 8 GCSE’s compared to the average. In 2018 the progress 8 score was 1.07. That is great news for our students, the academy and our community, but there is so much more that we know can be achieved and you can help.

We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional Teacher of Business Studies to join us at The City Academy, Hackney from September 2022. As a member of our staff you will be instrumental in laying the foundation of outstanding standards of education and creating a stimulating and purposeful environment where our pupils can make excellent progress. We welcome applications from current students working towards QTS/PGCE who will be entering into their ECT year from September.

You will have high expectations, a commitment to raising standards of attainment and up-to-date knowledge of teaching and behaviour management strategies. We are seeking passionate and driven individuals with good communication and organisational skills and a desire to make a difference to the lives of our pupils and their communities.
