Are you a fully qualified, inspirational, and highly motivated teacher, passionate about teaching business studies, and seeking a new opportunity at a successful and growing international school?  If so, you will be interested in this exciting opportunity to join us.

About the School

Baleares International College (BIC) https://balearesint.net/campuses/sa-porassa-campus is the largest British Curriculum school in Mallo rca, providing education based on the English National Curriculum to over 400 students (from 3 to 18 years) in Sa Porrassa, a very accessible but beautiful rural area, adjacent to the south west coast of Mallorca.  We are accredited by the Spanish Ministry of Education, based upon inspection and recommendation by the British Council, and are a founding member of the National Association of British Schools in Spain (NABSS).  The school is also a member of COBIS, the Council of British International Schools.

About the Opportunity

The school is seeking to appoint a business studies teacher, with effect from September 2020. Applicants should be committed and outstanding teaching practitioners, able to lead by example, possessing excellent teaching, organisational and communication skills. The ability and willingness also to teach economics at A’level would be advantageous.

We are seeking individuals who can apply a committed and common-sense approach to secondary education, such that it achieves outstanding results and happy children. The role requires an individual who has sky-high expectations of what children can achieve and how they can behave. Although you will be a secondary teacher, as an all-through school we are seeking someone who is excited about the opportunities such a school creates, keen to work with primary staff to ensure a joined-up approach to the curriculum and a seamless transition across the two key stages.

The successful candidate will want to play their part in the development and implementation of the school’s strategic plan, supporting the delivery of the school's mission to make the school the number one choice on the island.

As an English school, specialising in the English National Curriculum to a diverse, international student population, strong English language is an essential requirement and applications from native-level speakers of English are preferred.

For more information, please refer to the letter from the principal, and separate Job Profile.
