We are looking for a dynamic teacher of Business Studies to join our school, who is a strong practitioner with a passion for inspiring students.

Oxford Spires Academy is a well-established comprehensive in East Oxford with over 1000 students including 6th form. A strength of Oxford Spires is the warm, welcoming culture for students and staff alike and a huge sense of community as ‘our children are happy and there is a culture of respect across the school’ (Ofsted 2017)

The Business Studies team is highly respected and pedagogically focused. The subject plays an important role in our richly diverse school community and contributes positively to the experience of our students with vibrant enterprise experiences. The faculty is based in our Reuben Business Centre building with spacious and state of the art facilities. Business Studies is very popular both at GCSE and A Level.

What we are looking for:

  • A creative and energetic teacher of Business Studies.
  • A passionate and dynamic teacher who will be able to contribute to the continued development of Business Studies
  • Applicants who have a commitment to creating an inclusive classroom where all pupils make progress
  • Experience of BTEC would be an advantage

For the right candidate there may be the opportunity to lead our Enterprise specialism. We appoint on potential as well as experience, and we are committed to nurturing staff development.
