Greater Peterborough UTC opened in September 2016 with 140 students aged 14-18. Doubling in size this year, we are seeking to increase our teaching team so we can continue to provide high-quality academic and technical education.
GPUTC specialises in Engineering and the Built Environment and is programmed to continue growing to 400 students by 2019.
We're not the only school in Peterborough very keen to get great teachers in our classrooms... but we can guarantee that we're unique!
We are inviting applications from passionate and experienced individuals who are great in the classroom and keen to make a significant contribution to the development of the school. Enthusiastic for the UTC concept, fully supportive of our vision, you'll be inspirational, able to tackle problems head on and have the communication skills and emotional intelligence to engage with all the issues involved in developing a new school.
The successful candidate will be teaching at KS4 and KS5 and also have opportunity to integrate business learning with our specialism subjects. If you can offer teaching in any other subject there will be the potential to increase this 0.6 contract up to full-time.
Our sponsors recognise that these are demanding roles in a pioneering organisation and we are committed to supporting staff as effectively as possible.
This is a re-advertisement of a post previously advertised in the Spring of 2017.
All appointments are subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check. GPUTC is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
