Job overview

As Teacher of Chemistry at the RGS you would be joining a team of seven chemists (including an Assistant Head) and two technicians in a department with excellent resources including five laboratories, three preparation rooms, multiple class sets of data loggers and an IR spectrometer.

We are looking for a chemistry enthusiast to join us in September 2023 and inspire our boys who “display excellent attitudes to their learning” and demonstrate a “high degree of mutual respect between pupils and teachers” (ISI Inspection Report 2022).

Teaching experience is not essential as we offer full support to gain Qualified Teacher Status. Salary is dependent on experience, well above the national scale and compares favourably with others in the independent sector.
