Stromness Academy is a vibrant six year secondary school in Orkney with a catchment area covering the town of Stromness and the West Mainland. The current school roll is 343 pupils. The school is on a well-appointed campus situated in Stromness. Stromness Academy serves a dispersed population with over two thirds of the pupils being bussed into school. We are committed to providing a safe, caring and inclusive environment where all our pupils achieve. We are currently working together to create a new and shared vision for the school as we move forward. We have strong and rich partnerships with the community and are always seeking to build on our existing partnerships within the local community and further afield.

Salary will be based on the Main Grade scale of the SNCT Salary Tables plus a Distant Islands Allowance. We offer a generous relocation package.
