Westminster City School is a successful 11-18 boys’ Christian non-denominational comprehensive academy with a mixed sixth form. Ours is a lively and vibrant learning community situated in the heart of central London with all the challenges and advantages of an inner city school. The school was judged as ‘Good’ by OFSTED in early 2013 with an outstanding curriculum and governance. We are not complacent and are pro-active in our ambition to become recognised as an “Outstanding” school.

From a national perspective our progress measures for all pupils places us in the top 15% of schools and you will be joining a highly successful department which is in the top 7% of schools. Our GCSE outcomes in 2015 were outstanding; 73% achieved 5 A*-C including English & Maths whilst in science 85% of pupils secured core and additional science with a 100% pass rate in further additional.

The school secured an overall ALPS score of 3 for A2 results 2015.

We are therefore seeking to recruit an inspirational, professional and highly skilled teacher of Science. You will have a track record of delivering consistently good and often outstanding lessons.

We believe in developing our staff and have a dynamic and supportive management team and an effective CPD programme which includes a regular teaching and learning forum. We welcome applications from experienced teachers or NQTs and will consider applicants requesting to work part-time.
