A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a passionate and well-qualified Teacher of Chemistry to join the school for at least 3 terms, to provide maternity leave cover in the department. The post-holder can start at either the beginning of the summer or autumn term of 2018 and will be expected to remain in post until 31 August 2019.
The appointed candidate will be joining a team of 7 enthusiastic and proactive Chemists, with a strong focus on skills development and independent learning. Supported by technical staff, a range of new technology and practical work is used in the classroom and laboratory. The ability to teach up to and including GCSE and A-Level is essential. We teach Edexcel Chemistry at A-Level and IGCSE Edexcel at GCSE.
All members of the department play a role in the extensive extra-curricular life of the faculty and our students enjoy participating in a wide range of additional activities, in a stimulating and fun learning environment.
This is a fixed purpose (maternity cover) contract of employment and the salary awarded will depend upon qualifications and experience.
