Teacher of Chemistry (part time)

Hampton Court House is an award-winning independent co-educational day school for ages 2 – 18, educating children and young people from pre-nursery to Year 13. The majority of our 300+ pupils elect to stay on to complete their full education with us, enjoying high levels of academic success in their GCSEs and A levels, and at Oxbridge and Russell Group university entry.

We seek an excellent, highly qualified, part-time teacher of chemistry to be a part of a thriving and successful science department, from September 2024.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching chemistry from Years 9 to 13, and possibly science in Years 7 and 8.

The role will report to the Head of Science, and will likely be around 0.6, but working patterns will be negotiable for the right candidate.

The postholder will be also expected to:

• Run at least one co-curricular club throughout the school year;
• Participate in range of enriching, subject-focused trips and visits throughout the school year;
• Help run subject interventions and clinics as needed;
• Attend parents' and options evenings as required;
• Other reasonable duties as directed by the Principal and Senior Leadership Team.
