We need an ambitious, able and enthusiastic Science teacher to join our highly successful Faculty of Science. The ability to teacher Chemistry or Physics to KS5 is an advantage. Applications welcome from NQTs. The Science department is a strong team of teachers and is supported by fantastic technicians. It is an ambitious and forward thinking department currently working on delivering science through an innovative 5 year curriculum. The department has a high profile in the College. Science is taught across all three Key Stages with GCSE and A Level examination groups.

We offer:

  • A highly successful 11-18 comprehensive with over 1300 well-motivated students, judged as “good” with many outstanding features by Ofsted (April 2013)
  • 2016 GCSE results of 75% A* to C including English and Mathematics, 81% A* to C at A level.
  • Over 200 students in the sixth form, judged as “outstanding” by Ofsted (April 2013)
  • Science results in 2016 were all above National Average; Core, Additional and Separate Sciences.
  • Consistently strong results in A-level sciences with many students progressing to STEM subjects at university.
