Teacher of Chemistry

With effect from August 2024, we require a full time Teacher of Chemistry to deliver this subject in KS3 (Yr9) as well as to IGCSE and A Level students.

The successful applicant will join a welcoming and dedicated team of international colleagues in this happy, supportive and collaborative community. It is important that the successful candidate has a secure working knowledge of implementing the CIE programmes at KS4 and KS5, and of assessing student performance accurately.

Most of our teachers are also Homeroom Teachers. The successful applicant is likely to be assigned this role in addition to their teaching role.

There is also scope for the successful applicant to either teach some IGCSE Maths, or to contribute to our TSIS Diploma Programme in KS5.

Requirements:

- Qualified teacher status

- A minimum of 2 years classroom experience, ideally in an international school setting

- Familiarity with effective pedagogy (including the ability to use assessment for learning tools and student-centred approaches)

- The ability to cultivate students' passion for the subject(s) taught, and to develop higher order thinking skills

- The desire to contribute positively to the growth and development of our school
