April or September 2017 (An earlier start negotiable) Teacher of Chemistry MPS/UPS St Paul’s Way Trust School, in association with Queen Mary University of London, is seeking to appoint an outstanding and creative teacher of Chemistry. The post would be suitable for an NQT or a more experienced teacher who would like to develop their skills and expertise in a large, well-resourced Science faculty. This is an excellent career opportunity for a colleague who is passionate about the entitlement of young people to a rich and varied Science curriculum. 

Working within a vibrant and highly successful faculty, you will be an outstanding classroom teacher with a passionate commitment to the progress of all students in our fully comprehensive and heavily oversubscribed school. The successful candidate will have an unwavering belief in the potential of every student. (S)he will do what it takes to ensure that students achieve their best, and will have the contagious enthusiasm for the subject which excites and motivates students. The Sciences, delivered through our unique Faraday science curriculum, are an increasingly popular subject choice in the school’s academic sixth form and the successful candidate will be able to develop their A level teaching experience. 

The school is passionate about practical work and our science teachers are supported by a team of highly skilled and passionate technicians who recently came 2nd in the The Salters' National Award for Science Technicians 2016.  Members of the Science team also have the opportunity to work with academic colleagues from Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) on our Teacher Fellowship Programme. In September 2016 some of our team members began teaching chemistry modules as part of a foundation year programme at the School of Medicine and Dentistry (QMUL).  St Paul's Way Trust School, a National Teaching School and ‘Through School’ - outstanding in every Ofsted category, is situated in the heart of East London.
