The Academy is a new £16m building with state of the art facilities.

Workington Academy is seeking to appoint a well-qualified, innovative and enthusiastic Teacher of Chemistry. The successful candidate will first and foremost be an excellent classroom practitioner, who has enthusiasm for their subject, is able to motivate and inspire students and will be keen to make a significant contribution to the further development of our Science department. The ability to teach up to and including GCSE and A Level Chemistry is essential. We currently deliver AQA Chemistry at A Level and GCSE.

This appointment is due to the Academy attracting more students in Year 7 and at post 16 and it will be an exciting time to join Workington Academy.  We are part of a forward thinking and innovative Multi Academy Trust who are committed to cooperative and collaborative approaches. We invest in our staff with excellent CPD and by ensuring that they have every opportunity to grow and develop.
