Maternity Cover from January 2022 to December 2022

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, highly motivated and inspirational teacher to cover a maternity leave. This post is suitable for an experienced or newly qualified teacher wishing to join a team of specialists who ensure a high standard of teaching, learning and achievement. 

Both subjects are popular options choices at KS4 and you will be responsible for preparing students for, and assessing, all components within each qualification. Acting as the Lead Internal Verifier you will be the main point of contact in the Standards Verification process, receiving support from an experienced Internal Verifier and Quality Nominee. 

The candidate will have excellent knowledge and experience of Level 2 BTEC Tech Award Child Development and Health and Social Care. Experience of the standards verification process and/or knowledge of BTEC documentation would be an advantage, in addition to and a willingness to teach Religious Education at KS3.

Smithills School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school situated in Bolton, Lancashire. There are approximately 1200 students at the school, between the ages of 11-16.
