A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Teacher of PSHE and Citizenship to join a very successful Faculty at Fairfield High School.

 

The successful candidate will teach KS3 and KS4 RSE and Citizenship. In Year 11 all students take the AQA Citizenship GCSE. Training on the GCSE will be provided. 


If you would like to apply for the post as a specialist in Humanities, there is a possibility of teaching some lessons in your specialist area.

 

This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding teacher to work in an established department to support in raising the profile of Citizenship even further across the school and developing the curriculum. The role includes the organisation of trips, events and recruiting external visitors, as well as the monitoring of pupil progress across both key stage 3 and key stage 4. The department has a long history of outstanding GCSE results. 

The right candidate will need to demonstrate strong classroom management skills, have excellent organisational and ICT skills, a high degree of initiative, be able to work independently as well as part of a faculty team, and the ability to motivate pupils and achieve excellent results.  

 

You will have the ability to inspire young people and have a great passion for your subject area.
