Tes is supporting the appointment of an enthusiastic and motivated graduate to join a vibrant and highly regarded Classics department, to teach Latin and Classical Civilisation throughout the School. The successful candidate will have a degree in Classics, Greats or an equivalent discipline and possess strong subject knowledge. The position would suit an ECT, someone looking for their first move or an experienced teacher wanting a fresh challenge. Training, support and ongoing mentoring will be provided by an outstanding department with a proven track record of inspiring girls of all abilities to achieve in and enjoy Classics.
This is a leading Catholic Independent boarding and day School for girls aged 11-18 situated in beautiful East Sussex countryside, less than 50 miles from London and 40 minutes from Gatwick. The School is a diverse and inclusive community with a tradition of academic achievement. Results in all Classical subjects are strong at both GCSE and A Level, with girls going on to study at Oxbridge and the best Russell Group universities. In addition the school offer a vibrant and eclectic extra-curricular provision and have an enviable reputation for pastoral care.
