We are seeking a well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of Classics to work in our dynamic and creative school, which has exceptional academic results. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for you to join our thriving and experienced team. The ability to teach Ancient Greek would be an advantage.
Latin and Ancient Greek are very much alive at OHS: the department offers a colourful and vigorous introduction to the Classical world encompassing both language and culture, reinforcing both with lectures, visits and performances.
If you are a talented classicist, passionate about the teaching of the subject, with the ability to teach up to A level, we would love to hear from you.

Oxford High School is an independent, non-denominational, all-through school for girls without nursery and with sixth form, situated in three sites in Summertown, North Oxford. It is one of 26 members of the GDST (Girls’ Day School Trust), meaning it is governed by the council and operates according to the trust’s policy. The school provides 906 places for primary, secondary and sixth-form students aged 4-19.
Oxford High School was founded in 1875 and is the oldest girls' school in the city. Until recently it accepted boys into its junior school, but is now girls-only.
