Job overview
We are seeking to appoint a good honours graduate in an appropriate discipline to teach Latin and Classical Civilisation throughout the school to A Level. A teaching qualification and experience of teaching from Year 7 through to Year 13 would be beneficial but recent, non-qualified graduates of Classics would be considered. This is an exciting opportunity to join a strong Classics Department in a leading school. The College provides statutory induction for NQTs and will assist graduate entrants to the profession to gain QT status pending satisfactory completion of a probationary year in post for permanent appointees.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the wider life of the Classics Department as well as to the College’s extra-curricular programme.
The appointment will be made by the Headmaster who will be assisted by the Head of Classics and members of the College’s Senior Management Team.
