The Computing Department at Arthur Mellows Village College is looking for a new member. We are a highly motivated, successful team who enjoy enabling students to be successful in Computing. Staff are all based in their own classrooms which are equipped with interactive whiteboards and are well resourced with computers for students.

Students are enthusiastic about computing which is evident in the high uptake of KS4 and KS5 courses. Students follow OCR GCSE Computer Science (1 – 9) and OCR Cambridge Nationals in IT at KS4 and OCR  A level Computer Science and OCR Cambridge Technicals level 3 at KS5. 

At Arthur Mellows Village College:

 ·        Students are well behaved and keen to learn.

·        Computing is enjoyed by students and its importance is recognised.

·        Staff are provided with a laptop.

·        New members of staff receive a dedicated programme of support.

·        The school has recently been redeveloped providing a pleasant working environment.

Arthur Mellows Village College is a vibrant, oversubscribed 11-18 comprehensive, situated in a very pleasant rural village between Peterborough and Stamford. Ofsted graded the College as ‘Outstanding’ for a second time in December 2014.  Behaviour is excellent and students are keen to learn, 

  • 70% of all level 2 qualifications (GCSE’s) are awarded at the equivalent of grade 4 or above.  
  • Over 20% of all level 2 qualifications (GCSE’s) are awarded at the equivalent of grade 7 or above.
  • At A level over 29% of grades are A* or A.
