Our alternative provision academy in Thurrock has up to 96 students aged between 11 and 16 on roll at any one time.  Olive Academies is one of the first multi-academy trusts to specialise exclusively in alternative provision.  We support children and young people who have experienced significant difficulties learning in mainstream schools. We work with children who are at risk of exclusion, those who have been permanently excluded from school and those who have medical needs.

Our ideal candidate would be an experienced teacher who wants to develop their practice and experience more dynamic ways of engaging children in learning. We are seeking a business studies and computer science teacher who will:

o be committed to tackling disadvantage and improving every student’s wellbeing and life chances

o demonstrate the highest quality of teaching, learning and assessment

o create exciting projects to inspire our students

o work closely with our headteacher, pathway lead, our staff, parents/ carers and our students to deliver our vision and help make our ambitious plans for the academy a reality.

Come and join our pioneering teaching team and work alongside colleagues who share a determination to give the most vulnerable children and young people the best chances to succeed and thrive in their adult lives.
