An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, innovative and enthusiastic individual to join our excellent computing team at the Joseph Wright Centre.
Successful applicants will have significant teaching experience and up to date knowledge of delivering to a broad spectrum of students in FE and HE. As the College is an early adopter of T Level’s, successful applicants will also be required to have up to date knowledge of the multifaceted structure that is the Digital T Level curriculum.
You must be an analytical thinker with teaching or proven knowledge of Python, C# and .NET programming experience. A full stack developer (Web developer) with teaching or proven knowledge of web development /design, with essential skills in WordPress, HTML, CSS, PHP and JavaScript. A database developer / programmer with teaching or proven knowledge of databases (SQL), graphics and animation, and teaching or proven knowledge of Software Security.
You will hold a relevant level 5/6 teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed) or display a willingness to work towards achieving this and achieved a Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Maths and English.You will be a dedicated and motivated professional who is passionate about teaching and learning and who is ready to contribute to the development of new strategies to improve the quality of delivery for our computing cohort.

Derby College is a large general further education college with four sites in or near the city of Derby. It supports around 26,000 learners, who choose from more than 1,000 full-time and part-time apprenticeship, A-level, BTEC and NVQ courses.
Derby College was established as a single institution in 2002 by merging three further education colleges: Mackworth Tertiary College, Wilmorton Tertiary College and Broomfield Agricultural College. A merger between South East Derbyshire College and Derby College was approved in 2010. Heavy investment has been made by the college in its teaching and learning facilities, from the fully equipped teaching kitchens at the Roundhouse campus to the high-tech science labs at the Joseph Wright Centre and the Equestrian Centre at the Broomfield Hall campus.
