We are now looking to appoint an experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic individual to teach Computer Science to all key stages. The ability to teach an additional subject would be advantageous. As a Computer Science Teacher, you will be responsible for instilling a passion for your subjects in students, monitoring and evaluating student achievements as well as contributing to accomplishing the College’s vision and mission. The successful candidate will be an outstanding role model within the Computer Science Department and Doha College as a whole.
The department consists of 3 full-time teachers and is at the forefront of leading and supporting digital technology to enhance the learning for all students. It offers a wide range of courses including IGCSE and A Level Computer Science and applicants should be able to demonstrate success in all age groups.
All our classrooms are equipped with interactive smartboards and displays and all students are furnished with an iPad upon entry.
Alongside an academic focus, we also offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities, aimed at increasing learning of the subject and promoting the uptake of the subject at GCSE and A Level. The department offers a number of enrichment activities including Botball, Alice programming and The National Robotics Olympiad, where we have an enviable record of success.
