Job overview

We are looking for a motivated and enquiring Teacher of Computer Science who will make the subject exciting, inspiring the students and stimulating their enthusiasm and interest in their studies. There is also the possibility of leading the Computer Science course for the right candidate, which attracts an extra allowance of £2,009 per annum.

You will work within the hugely popular Mathematics and Computer Science department where you will join a team of 14 full-time and part-time staff working in a spacious, well-resourced new building.

You will contribute towards driving the improvement of Alps scores for the department. Your teaching will be of high quality and your results will reflect the high calibre of your teaching. You must have a commitment to active and innovative teaching and learning, as well as the passion to be part of a successful teaching environment which produces the best from students.

Barton Peveril Sixth Form College situated in Eastleigh, Hampshire is one of the largest (over 4,700 students in 2022) and most successful sixth form colleges in the country.

  • OFSTED judged the College Outstanding across all four key judgements: quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management.
