Teacher of Computer Science, IT and/or Business Studies

We are seeking to appoint a passionate, driven and dynamic teacher of Computer Science, IT and Business Studies to teach across all Key Stages in our lively, hard-working and enthusiastic department. We recognise that your specialism may lie in one of these areas and the role will be adjusted to the successful candidate’s specialist subject(s) as much as possible.

We are looking for someone who is an excellent practitioner in their subject with a passion for our 3 subjects. The successful candidate will be committed to the highest expectations of achievement and progression for all students, and will have excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and motivated team player who is passionate about engaging and inspiring our students.

 You would be joining a friendly, energetic, diligent department made up of staff who are completely dedicated to ensuring students make the best progress possible. We have a solid belief in the importance of Computer Science, IT and Business Studies, and in developing the transferable skills students will need in today’s ever changing world. As a department, we are calm classroom practitioners who value the use of humour and treating students as individuals in order to create a purposeful environment in which students feel safe and secure and can achieve their full potential. During our last Ofsted inspection students spoke positively about the department.

All 3 of our subjects are popular options at both Key Stage 4 and 5, reflecting the enjoyment and interest students gain from our lessons.

The position is a temporary position, for one year with the potential to become permanent in the future.
