Outwood Academy Acklam is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher of Computer Science. You will have good subject knowledge, a passion for the subject, and want students to love Computer Science as much as we do. As a member of the Outwood Family you will share our vision of “Students First”.

We are looking to appoint an ambitious and creative teacher of computing to join an outstanding faculty of Art & Technologies. You will have the passion and ability to inspire young people to be ‘thinkers of the future’; equipping them with the computational skills, thinking and creativity to become active participants in an ever-changing digital world.

As a teacher of Computer Science you will continue to develop and deliver an innovative and progressive curriculum in computing which is supported by a programme of extracurricular and enrichment activities. You will work positively and collaboratively with the department and collectively develop and improve all aspects of teaching and learning in this area.

We are looking for an inspirational candidate with proven experience in KS3 and KS4. The ideal candidate will be someone who sets high expectations for children, makes learning enjoyable, ensures that every child is valued and is supported to take opportunities to reach their potential.

OGAT are proud to be a part of the National Institute of Teaching (NIoT) hosting its North and East campus as Outwood Academy Redcar and Outwood Academy Adwick. The NIoT identifies best practice in education, in order to develop cutting-edge, evidence-based teacher training and professional development programmes. OGAT colleagues will benefit from the work of the institute, which draws on the expertise of some of the most outstanding school leaders in education today. For our ECT colleagues a full and detailed programme of support and development, including science subject specialism support will be provided.
