Teacher of Computer Science

Oxford High School for Girls GDSTOxfordshire

Hours: Part time (0.5 FTE with a potential for a higher or lower load)

This is an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified and innovative Computer Science Teacher with the ability to inspire, excite and motivate pupils to join a thriving and popular department within a leading independent day school in Oxford.

There is also the possibility of teaching some Mathematics for the right candidate.

Teaching across the 11-18 age group, you will play a key role providing an excellent education for all the school’s pupils by teaching with expertise and enthusiasm and offering support to the learning of individual students.

Computer Science is a popular subject at GCSE and attracts a small but dedicated group at A Level, with uptake continuing to grow. We have had two A Level cohorts to date and each year has seen girls go on to study Computer Science at university, including at Oxbridge. Our 2019 GCSE (100% 9-7, 87.5% 9-8) and A Level results (100% A) speak volumes for the dedication of students and staff.

Applications from NQTs are warmly welcomed.
