We are seeking a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and creative teacher to join this large, thriving department. 

The department offers A Levels in Computer Science and IT and the BTEC Extended Diploma in IT.  You will play an integral part in the continuing development of courses within the team.  The postholder will deliver A Level Computer Science and A Level and BTEC IT.

The Sixth Form College, Solihull is a sixth-form college for 16- to 19-year-olds in the town of Solihull, West Midlands. The college has more than 2,200 students. The large majority of courses are A-levels, but vocational courses are also available. 

Founded in 1974, the college boasts extensive sport facilities, as well as a library containing tens of thousands of books and digital resources. The Sixth Form College, Solihull has official links with a number of other educational institutions, including secondary schools and universities, via the Specialist Academies project.

Values and vision 

The Sixth Form College, Solihull emphasises flexible study, with students having the freedom to select a wide variety of subjects in any combination. The college provides extensive support for students completing Extended Project Qualifications, as well as offering a number of BTEC and CACHE courses to supplement this. As part of the college’s ethos of academic flexibility, extra-curricular activities are also well supported, with many of these leading to additional rewards and qualifications, such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.
