About Sir George Monoux College:
Monoux is a Sixth Form College for over 1700 students aged 16-19. We offer A Levels, vocational courses at levels 2 and 3, and GCSE resits. 76.5% of our students are from deprived backgrounds, compared to 40.3% of 16-19 year olds nationally.
We are now in the top 10% of the country for the progress our students make from GCSE (this includes top 10% for disadvantaged students). 95% of our students advance to University or Apprenticeships, and 14% progress to Russell Group Universities. We are also growing, with a 10% increase in our student intake compared to last year.
About the role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified Computing teacher to join a dynamic, friendly and dedicated Digital Pathway team. This is an exciting time at Sir George Monoux College and you can help shape the future of the subject.
You will have either a Computing based teaching degree or experience and a successful track record of teaching Computing to BTEC and level 2 and level 3 students. The ideal candidate will have experience of teaching programming and be comfortable with programming languages.
For this role you will need excellent subject knowledge and a strong track record of successfully delivering student outcomes. As a person, you need the commitment to put the student at the centre of your practice coupled with the determination and energy to bring about continuous improvement.
