Havelock Academy is seeking to appoint an outstanding and enthusiastic teacher of ICT and Computing to join our successful and cohesive ICT department. The department is well-resourced within the Academy's multi-million building and has excellent ICT facilities.
We are keen to develop our provision of Computing as a subject discipline, from Key Stage 3 to Post 16. The successful candidate will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with an excellent knowledge of a range of software applications, including Adobe Photoshop, Flash and Dreamweaver, and programming languages including Python and Java. Experience of teaching Key Stage 4 courses including GCSE ICT, GCSE Computing and Post 16 courses to include A-level and BTEC would be an advantage.

Located in the town of Grimsby, Lincolnshire, Havelock Academy is a co-educational secondary school. Havelock has around 1000 pupils aged 11-18, making it slightly larger than the average secondary school. The school has an economically diverse catchment area, a fact reflected in its student intake. Originally known as Havelock school, it was established in the 1960s, adopting its current name in 2007 upon its conversion to an academy. The school is part of the David Ross Education Trust, a multi-academy trust responsible for a large number of schools across the Midlands and the north of England.
