At IES Breckland we fully value the importance of both ICT and Computing. At key stage 3 students study a broad curriculum which covers both ICT and Computing elements and is regularly reviewed to ensure that as technologies continue to develop, students are able to keep up to date with the current trends and experience first-hand technology at its best. 

We believe that ICT plays an important part in ensuring that students are well equipped for ICT within the workplace, therefore all students study an accredited qualification in ICT at key stage 4 (Currently GCSE ICT). Alongside this we run a very successful and oversubscribed option of GCSE Computing as part of the school’s key stage 4 options process.  

Our students have access to both Windows and Apple products. We have a fully fitted Apple Mac suite which gives students the opportunity to get to grips with a different operating system, again allowing them to experience a wide variety of applications.  

We are looking for someone who is passionate about the opportunities for learning that both ICT and Computing provides. You will have the opportunity to work with like-minded teachers within the faculty.  This vacancy is suitable for experienced teachers or newly qualified teachers with the potential for a July 2017 start date.  

We will offer continuous professional development opportunities for you to develop your teaching career within our school.  We also offer a number of extra-curricular activities including our annual Swedish exchange and Ski trips.
