Your opportunity:

We are looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher to join the popular, well-regarded and oversubscribed IT & Computing faculty at Glyn School. Glyn was one of the first schools in Surrey to offer Computer Science and has developed a reputation for challenging and stretching students with engaging and enriching teaching across all key stages. Students are keen to develop their skills and knowledge with enrichment activities and after-school coding clubs.

As a Computing teacher at Glyn School, you will have plenty of CPD opportunities for professional development and growth. Working as part of the GLF Trust comprising of 40 schools, we are able to support you with career pathways for progression. NQT candidates are encouraged to apply.

About Glyn School:

Why should you teach at Glyn School?

Glyn is an ‘outstanding’ school; to be exceptional is for our students to leave not only with the grades necessary to pursue their goals, but also with the life-skills they need to thrive and contribute to the global economy and community. An oversubscribed 11-19 Academy, Glyn is the lead school in the successful and thriving GLF Multi-Academy Trust. We are a vibrant school for boys with 1229 students on roll (Year 7-11), and a successful mixed Sixth Form with 490 students. Glyn is ideally situated just ten minutes’ walk from both Ewell East and Ewell West stations, both of which are approximately 20 minutes from Clapham Junction and within Zone 6.

Learning and Teaching is at the heart of Glyn. We aim to deliver lessons that inspire and engage students who will then go on to fulfil and exceed their potential. Teachers who have a passion for their subject and build strong relationships with their students cultivate a ‘love of learning’ that ultimately sees the young people we teach make exceptional progress. We firmly believe that high quality professional development is an important part of excellent teaching and we enthusiastically pursue ongoing teacher development: CPD, no matter where a teacher is in their career, is part of the fabric and culture of the school.
