Our Computing and IT Department continues to see increased numbers of students opting to study our courses and we are looking for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Teacher to enhance and add to the college’s continuing success.  The ability to also teach Physics or Mathematics or Engineering would be helpful.  We welcome applications from Early Career Teachers.

The department currently offers three Level 3 courses: A Level Computer Science, BTEC Computer Games Development and Cyber Security and BTEC IT. Within the department there are members of staff who coordinate the A level and BTEC courses.  From September 2022, we also aim to deliver a Level 2 course to support our GCSE offering, giving our GCSE students the opportunity to study emerging technologies. The successful candidate will be able to teach across the whole range of qualifications.

You will be a strong team player and be committed to a departmental ethos based on high quality teaching, excellent examination results, shared resources, and mutual support. You will have the ability to work with students and help them develop their ideas and give high quality feedback.
