Teacher of Computing and Physical Education

Corley Centre is a secondary special school for children with complex social and communication difficulties. A significant number of students have an autism diagnosis. Students bring a range of abilities and aspirations, special educational needs, vulnerabilities, challenges and behaviours. Student attainment covers the full National Curriculum and GCSE range.

The school has been awarded NAS Autism Accreditation and a comprehensive package of training will be provided for all new staff.

Governors are seeking a highly driven and creative, specialist Computing and/or PE teacher to deliver both subjects throughout the school and across the full ability range, ensuring that students maximise their potential. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the Computing curriculum and will deliver an accredited Computing/ICT course in KS4. 40% of the week’s teaching will be computing and 60% will be PE.

The successful candidate will be joining a strong PE department, with inclusion and personal development as its focus. Students take part in a wide range of sporting activities, with a vast number representing the school in local and regional competitions.
