Their school has been on a transformational journey, and they are looking for a new Teacher of Computing that will join the department through the next exciting leap forward as they challenge educational disadvantage by defining an ambitious, replicable and sustainable school model that supports children from communities like their to thrive at top third universities and highly competitive apprenticeships. 

About the role:

They are looking for an excellent Teacher of Computing who will ensure meaningful learning takes place for their students by teaching engaging and effective lessons. You will be a motivator and inspiration for their pupils and ensure they make rapid and sustained progress. 

This role is suitable for Early Career Teacher (ECT’s)

About their school:

The Academy is a large non-selective secondary school in the London borough of Brent. They are proud of the excellent education they offer each of their pupils. Their team of enthusiastic and ambitious staff have high expectations of themselves and their pupils and have worked together to transform their school. They are now just as excited about the next step in their school improvement journey as they work together to deliver the outstanding education their community need and deserve. 

At the Academy, they understand that being a teacher is tough and are committed to working together to help reduce workload where possible. This includes clarity around roles and responsibilities allowing you to plan daily, weekly and termly tasks, reducing ineffective or inefficient work such as report writing and parents' evenings and above all, listening to and acting on feedback. They are also committed to ensuring teachers can focus on teaching and have the opportunity to refine and develop their practice in the classroom and develop their leadership skills. 

In their last OFSTED inspection (October 2019) it was recognised that:
