Ursuline College is a very successful, popular Academy. We are a secondary school with currently 711 students on role. Ursuline College is based in Westgate-On-Sea, Kent. We are close to the coast, with a good position for trips to Europe from either Dover or via the Channel Tunnel. Canterbury City is 15 miles away. The train service offers a fast service to London (approximately 1.5 hours away).
We have a quaint Chapel on the grounds where staff are welcome to have a quiet time to escape and reflect. You do not have to be a Catholic to work here.
We welcome experienced or NQT teacher looking to fill this 0.5 FTE teacher position. An exciting, ICT and Computing curriculum is delivered to all pupils within Key Stage 3. At Key Stage 4 the department offers Cambridge Nationals Level 2 Certificate and Computer Science GCSE. The Level 3 Cambridge Technical Extended Certificate in IT is delivered in Year 12 and A-Level ICT in Year 13. ICT and Computing are established and popular subjects within the school, consistently gaining high uptake at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, with an excellent record of results. The Successful candidate will have knowledge in teaching ICT across all Key Stages. Computer Science would be beneficial with knowledge of Python preferable.
