CTC Kingshurst Academy is a highly popular, oversubscribed establishment. We are currently undergoing an exciting and successful transformation in learning and teaching and are actively seeking outstanding and innovative teachers to help shape our journey from good to outstanding.  

The academy was last inspected by Ofsted in 2013 and its overall effectiveness was judged as “Good” and improving. With 85% of observed lessons found to be good or better, the inspectors reported that ‘teachers expect much of their students and communicate great enthusiasm for their subjects. Students have great respect for, and confidence in, their teachers and this supports students’ learning well’, Ofsted, 2013.     

You will be joining a successful department where students achieved 100% A* - C in KS4 BTEC I& CT and Post 16 results in BTEC National Extended Diploma in IT(Business) were equally impressive in 2016. From September 2016 we have introduced a new course OCR GCSE in Computer Science specification at KS4. Results in ICT and Business are improving year on year and this post will provide an excellent career   opportunity for a candidate with ambition and drive.

We are looking for a well-qualified Computing/Business teacher, with a proven track record for outstanding teaching and who is committed to securing high standards and raising academic attainment. The successful candidate will be able to teach Computing across the full age and ability range at KS3, KS4 and KS5 and Business at KS4. You will need to be passionate, enthusiastic and hardworking, having high expectations of students. Experience in delivering the Computing courses at GCSE or A level is essential and experience in delivering the Business courses at   GCSE or A level is desirable. The successful applicant will be an excellent classroom practitioner with the ability to inspire students of all abilities and have high expectations of the learning and achievement of all students.     

Part time position/job share will also be considered.
