Ashmole Academy is a forward looking, high achieving secondary school with an excellent team of staff.  The school has an excellent reputation within the local community with strong support from governors, parents and pupils.  We currently have approximately 1900 pupils with a growing and vibrant 6th Form of approximately 600. Our examination results are consistently high and the Academy remains heavily oversubscribed every year.

We are looking to appoint a teacher of computing who will working within the mathematics faculty. The successful candidate will be able to teach GCSE and A Level Computer Science. This post is on a temporary basis initially until 31st August 2023, however there may be opportunities for additional responsibilities, TLR and promotion within the computer science department for the right candidate.

Computer Science is currently taught at Key Stage 4 and 5.   It is a popular subject at GCSE and A Level with an excellent uptake. The course has been designed to stretch and challenge the most able students in the school. Computing is clearly an exciting and growing field and we seek an outstanding practitioner to lead the subject and inspire some of our most talented minds.
