Job overview
Peter Symonds is a vibrant sixth form college in Winchester which has been rated by Ofsted as ‘outstanding’ in every respect. We have a large team of committed and talented staff who are at the heart of the success of the College.
The Level 3 Criminology course was introduced for September 2019 and this is an opportunity to join us early in the creation of what promises to be a vibrant and dynamic teaching department. We have a part time, permanent post initially for six sessions a week (0.2308 FTE) but with the likelihood of more hours, if desired, from September 2020. Successful candidates will be graduates of Criminology, Sociology, Psychology, Law or an allied subject. Most importantly, they will be enthusiastic about the subject and able to share that passion with our students.
We welcome applications from both newly qualified and experienced teachers. The College provides excellent CPD and, this being the first year of the subject, this will be supplemented by specific training opportunities for updating subject content and resource management.
Closing date: 12 noon on 6 November 2019
