The successful candidate will have the vision, creativity and drive to assist in the continued development of Dance and Drama (and its place within the wider Faculty of Performing Arts) as a valued group of subjects and qualifications amongst our school community. The successful candidate will also run the BTEC Performing Arts course. They will join an energetic school which strives to ensure that all students enjoy learning and surpass expectations of achievement.


Dance is a popular subject across Key Stages 3 and 4 and expectations of student behaviour and learning are high. Student outcomes for the dance led BTEC Performing Arts course are consistently amongst the best in the school and nationally Preston Manor’s dancers have been placed within the top 3 in many high profile competitions. Working within the wider Faculty of Performing Arts our dancers regularly perform in open evenings, assemblies and next year will contribute to celebrations of Brent as the London Borough of Culture 2020.

Preston Manor School is a mixed, non-denominational, all-through state school with academy status, based in Wembley, north-west London, for children aged 4-18. It is a member of the family of Co-operative Trust Schools. It is a large school with approximately 1,900 pupils. Situated within a multicultural community, the school offers additional support for pupils who speak English as an additional language. Diversity and tolerance is a key message in its ethos.
