TEACHER OF DANCE 0.6 – 0.8 FTE (0.66 in the first year) 

Initially fixed-term until 31/08/2019, possible opportunity for future permanent contract. 

We seek to appoint an enthusiastic and forward thinking colleague to join our vibrant Performing Arts department.   

The successful candidate will be an inspirational and dynamic Teacher of Dance who is highly motivated and has excellent interpersonal skills and strong personal character. The ability to offer a second subject would be an advantage.   

You will cover Key Stage 3 and 4 and have the potential to develop into Key Stage 5. A commitment to extra-curricular activities and the desire to work well as a member of a team are essential attributes.  

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Performing Arts Faculty and teach in our purpose built dance studio.  


The school is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure via the Disclosure & Barring Services (DBS).

Our School

The Queen Katherine School is situated on the edge of the stunning Lake District; we are an 11-18 Academy with approximately 1000 students. The school was rated Good by Ofsted in March 2022. Our results reflect the school’s incredible success: top 7% in the country for A level (grades A-B) and top 25% for Progress 8 at GCSE.
