We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and energetic Dance Teacher to join our successful team from September 2021. Dance is an extremely successful subject at both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 through the BTEC Performing Arts qualification. Our facilities are excellent and include a purpose-built Dance Studio as well as a theatre. Dance is part of our Physical Education department which also has excellent facilities including our recently built £2.5m sports hall.
The role will suit either newly or recently qualified teachers who wish to share their enthusiasm and make a difference as well as established teachers looking for a new challenge. The school offers a bespoke CPD programme, research and development and the opportunity to deliver examination qualifications.
We pride ourselves on our extra-curricular provision for all abilities, and the successful candidate would be expected to contribute to this provision.
The successful candidate will be expected to be an excellent classroom practitioner. As a school we value highly the development of new and existing materials and the post will involve the opportunity to work on the review of existing materials and the development of new ideas.
Above all else, the successful candidate should be enthusiastic about their work with young people and have a genuine concern for their development as individuals.
The successful candidate may also be required to teaching some PE lessons, and experience of BTEC Sport would be an advantage, but not essential.
Why come to Hinchingbrooke?
This is a fantastic school to work in: on interview, we ask candidates for their impressions of the school and without fail they comment on how wonderful our students are, the positive team ethos amongst staff and how friendly and welcoming the school is.
If you are an outstanding teacher, it really is worth applying for this post and joining somewhere special. We are seeking to appoint a candidate who is passionate about their subject area; a team player who will thrive on collaboration and team work; someone who really wants to make a difference!
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
Hinchingbrooke School values the diversity of our workforce and welcomes applications from all sectors of the community.
