This is an outstanding opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic Product Design or Resistant Materials teacher to join a thriving and ambitious Design and Technology Department.
You will play a key role planning and teaching Design and Technology lessons across the 11-18 range and facilitating the highest levels of attainment through promoting high standards of teaching and learning.
You will also advise pupils and parents on progress, giving clear guidance for improvement and report regularly to the Head of Department about the teaching of the subject.
If you have excellent subject knowledge along with enthusiasm and the ability to inspire, excite and motivate pupils in this subject we would be delighted to hear from you.
The Department consists of two well-resourced DT rooms. The design studio is typically used for sketching, electronics, and prototyping and contains two 3-D printers. The Workshop has a range of resistant-materials equipment as well as the department’s A1-plus-size laser cutter.
You will be working with pupils who achieve excellent results in public examinations, with the pupils achieving far above national figures for A* and A grades at both levels.
The post commences on 1 September 2018 and there may be the possibility that the post could be full time. The successful candidate will, subject to departmental requirements, be expected to teach Design and Technology at Key Stage 3, GCSE and A Level.
