The person appointed will be an outstanding classroom practitioner who will join a creative and vibrant Art and Design Team.
Why come to Latimer?
This is a fantastic school to work in: as a result of our success and popularity we are over-subscribed and have a very strong positive reputation. On interview we ask candidates for their impressions of the College and without fail they comment on how wonderful our students are, the supportive team ethos amongst staff and how friendly and welcoming the College is.
We are a tight-knit unit striving for the very best for our students and we are focused on, and passionate about, learning and success.
We genuinely care about our staff, their well-being and their professional development: we are a happy team, committed to working collaboratively and sharing the very best practice. This was very much recognised in our recent Ofsted Inspection.
If you are an outstanding teacher it really is worth applying for this post. We are seeking to appoint a candidate who is passionate about their subject area; a team player who will thrive on collaboration and team work; someone who really wants to make a difference! Primarily, we are seeking to appoint a teacher of Design and Technology who specialises in the technical principles previously considered as Resistant Materials. However, there may be a requirement to teach other design specialisms.
We welcome applications from NQTs and we run a highly supportive and successful NQT programme. We also have a strong track record of leadership development and succession planning for an ambitious candidate who is keen to progress to leadership in the future.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
The Latimer Arts College values the diversity of our workforce and welcomes applications from all sectors of the community.
For an application form and further details, please contact Ms Ridley, Principal’s PA, on 01536 720310 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
