Teacher of Design and Technology.

We want to hear from a teacher from all technology specialisms. This is a part-time position offered at 0.6 FTE.

Tes is currently supporting a friendly and supportive secondary academy, based in Croydon. The school is looking to add a Teacher of Design and Technology to its progressive and supportive D&T Department ideally starting in September 2021.

The role will include teaching and coordinating the delivery of Design and Technology at KS3 and eventually GCSE and A-level across year groups 7 to 13.  You will support the Head of D&T to enhance provision and will get the chance to get involved with exciting project work throughout the year. Project work will include revising schemes of work and ensuring the curriculum is engaging to all learners alongside projects that support student attainment, well-being and engagement within the wider school. You’ll also lead by example, supporting learners to achieve to the best of their ability and you’ll enjoy that great feeling when your learners achieve grades beyond their dreams.

We are recruiting an exceptional candidate as Teacher of DT (0.6 FTE), to work in close partnership with the DT department, the Senior Leadership Team and the Principal to embed the school’s vision and develop an outstanding school that empowers our pupils to take responsibility and seize greatness. Additional pastoral responsibility may be available for a suitable candidate.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow with the school. They will be supported in their development and preparation towards additional leadership opportunities. We will provide one-to-one support, coaching and access to extensive network training."

The school expects:

• A UK teaching qualification such as PGCE/PGDE, SCITT, BEd or MEd with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• a relevant Design and Technology Degree or a related subject

• experience of delivering Design and Technology up to A-level pushing and engaging learners to progress within the subject

• a love and passion for education.
