Job overview

Crewe Engineering and Design UTC is growing and we are excited to be recruiting for a new position ahead of the start of the next academic year. Student numbers have increased by 20% in the last 18 months and this September we will be welcoming another cohort of the finest young engineers in the North West.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our flagship department here at Crewe Engineering and Design UTC. Every student in our college has chosen to study with us specifically because of our Engineering, Design & Technology and Manufacturing specialisms. The right candidate will be an excellent teacher, passionate about the transformative impact our subjects can have on young people.

With state of the art engineering facilities, a cohort of talented & dedicated students across key stage 4 and 5, and a staff made up of equally passionate colleagues with a range of industry and educational experience, our college could be the next exciting chapter in your own professional journey.

As well as our specialist curriculum and excellent pastoral care, we are known for our exceptional facilities. While a passion for teaching is essential, experience across the full range of specialist equipment here is not. We can provide full training on all our equipment, including support to help you integrate your new skills into your own classroom practice and across the department.

We’d like to hear from teachers who know that our subject can be transformative, and I’d encourage any potential candidates to get in touch for an informal chat, or a tour of our campus, by contacting Mr W Chitty, Principal, at w.chitty@creweutc.org.uk or on 01270 218150. For further information, please visit our website Crewe UTC (utccrewe.co.uk). We may call the right candidate(s) for interview before the advertised closing date.

We will offer the successful candidate:

• A welcoming college, with friendly, enthusiastic and supportive staff

• Inquisitive and self-motivated students

• Staff benefits - employee discounts, discounted gym membership, Cycle2work scheme

• Employee Assistance Programme

Closing date: 21 April 2024
