Beaconsfield High School is a highly successful, happy and exciting girl’s selective school situated close to the centre of the beautiful, historic town of Beaconsfield in the south of the county of Buckinghamshire. We can boast wonderful students with a thirst for learning and a desire to embrace excellent teaching. We have an outstanding academic record and were placed 37th in the country for GCSE results in 2017. Our Sixth Form is also very successful and in 2017 achieved the best A level results in Buckinghamshire with 52.6% A*/A.
In recent years the Design and Technology Department has managed various educational changes effectively whilst maintaining very strong examination results. We seek an outstanding candidate to maintain and build upon this record of success and join a dynamic team of teachers and technicians. Subjects taught within the department include Art, Design, Food, Graphics and Textiles. In addition to a first specialism of Graphics, we would require the ability to teach a second specialism. (Food at Key Stage 4 would be desirable.)
This is an outstanding department with a track record of examination success and good option numbers. Lessons are taught in modern accommodation, with a suite of specialist rooms and access to technology to support progressive learning and teaching.
