Job overview

Quite simply, we’re going to improve education together.

The Academy Transformation Trust is here to make a difference – and help every child innovate, create and release his or her full potential. We’ve lived up to our name when it comes to The Nicholas Hamond Academy, which has new leadership, a Good Ofsted rating and a World Class Curriculum Mark. But that’s only part of the story.

Our students have represented the region to the House of Commons, created a “reverse advent calendar” to support the needy at Christmas, and written their own rap number to celebrate the history of Swaffham. In short, they’re very, very imaginative – so you’re going to have tremendous fun teaching them.

Design & Technology is central to everyone’s life, so you can consider yourself one of our most important teachers. Your results will speak for themselves and you’ll have plenty to say about how we can make great provision even better.

Naturally, you’ll be capable of teaching across the Secondary age range, stimulating students at every level of ability, and bring Design & Technology alive at KS4 and KS5.

For an informal chat or to arrange a visit, please contact Serena Lock by email: Serena.lock@tnha.org.uk

Closing date: 30 June 2017.

Academy Transformation Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and the successful applicant must undertake an enhanced DBS disclosure and reference checks.

About The Nicholas Hamond Academy

The Nicholas Hamond Academy or 'TNHA', is an aspirational 11 - 18 school. Our students are awesome, the staff passionate and the parents supportive. Together we are 'One Team', "determined to be the best that we can be".

It is a privilege to be the Principal of The Nicholas Hamond Academy. It is a huge responsibility but also the most fantastic job in the world to be able to work with the young people who come through our doors each day and help them fulfil their potential.

It is mine and my colleagues’ responsibility to provide our students with the best possible educational experience that we can and every day we continue to strive to do this. I want our learners to be motivated, enthused and, most importantly, inspired by the experience they have with us whilst helping them to develop all the skills that they need to be successful in their futures. I want our students to achieve and I want them to be successful and by creating an environment in which they can flourish I am certain that our students will have many successes during the time that they spend with us.

I know our students are capable of many fantastic things and being able to provide them the platform from which to do this is what we continually endeavour to do at TNHA so that our young people can have the most amazing futures.
