As a school we have worked as a whole staff to develop a five year curriculum which supports our students through Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, and ensures that each student is equipped to continue their learning journey post-16. All students study Design and Technology for at least 1 hour per week during Key Stage 3 and we offer two Key Stage 4 qualifications: GCSE Design and Technology and L2 Designing the Built Environment.
Compass School is uniquely placed to provide a rich environment for students to study design and technology, with local partnerships already established with the architectural and construction businesses associated with our the new school building and a range of local technology firms in the buildings and workshops close to the school.
In choosing successful candidates, the panel will be seeking outstanding classroom teachers with the ability to embrace and deliver the vision of the Compass Schools Trust, with the aim of establishing the Compass School in Southwark as the most sought after school in the Borough.
As the school is still small, applicants must demonstrate that they have the skills and experience to confidently take on a high profile role in the school.
