Job overview

Tes is supporting the appointment of an inspirational teacher of Design and Technology to join a flourishing and forward-thinking department and challenge, engage and inspire pupils to achieve their full potential in the subject.

You will deliver excellent teaching across the full secondary 11-18 age range, including both GCSE and A Level (currently AQA), creating a challenging and stimulating classroom climate that will motivate pupils to learn, think independently, take risks, empathise with others, and perform to the best of their abilities.

As well as delivering excellent classroom teaching, all staff at the school undertake a pastoral role (as a form tutor, or as a co-tutor if an ECT) and get involved in the wider life of the school through co-curricular activities and outreach programmes.

This role would suit a talented practitioner with excellent subject knowledge, seeking to develop and extend their skills in teaching intelligent design. A proficiency with CAD or willingness to develop this will be essential.
