Job overview

Do you want to join a fast-moving progressive academy, with a strong focus on staff engagement and welfare? Are you up for the challenge of being part of and creating the future? If so then the De La Salle Academy is the school for you.

Over the past year the academy has been on an upward trajectory, making great strides of improvement. You can be part of the journey as we enter the next phase. If you have energy, creativity, enthusiasm and have a love of making a difference to those we serve, then we want to hear from you.

If you are driven by developing positive relationships with students and are passionate about inspiring the next generation to break boundaries, learn and develop, irrespective of context, then this is the school for you. We are a small and agile school, which is part of our strength and this helps us to develop a personalised and purposeful environment in which to teach.

"The academy is committed to safeguarding children and young people.  All post holders are subject to criminal record checks carried out through the Disclosure and Barring Service"

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding teacher of design technology from September 2020.

As a small school, the design technology department is a sole teacher subject area but will operate within a broader Foundation Faculty. The successful candidate will possess energy and enthusiasm to engage, challenge and support students in this subject and will make a full contribution to the pastoral and extra-curricular life of The De La Salle Academy. This post is not suitable for NQTs.

Closing date for applications: 29th May 2020.
